Pastor Joel Murr, along with his wife Libbie, began serving the Lord together in student ministry after graduating from Tennessee Temple University in 1992. Joel was ordained in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1995 and they served students together for over two decades before God called him to become the Lead Pastor of Grace Chapel Church in October of 2014. Libbie has a love for women and discipleship and served in the position of Women’s Ministry Director for ten years before recently stepping down to care for their three grandchildren. Joel has a heart for the local church and is passionate to reach people with the gospel. He has dedicated his life to helping people grow in their faith, develop as leaders, and build life–giving culture and focus on leading people to a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. Joel holds a Master’s of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible Seminary. He and Libbie reside in Sanford, North Carolina and have three grown children, Jeremy (Sally), Anna Hainley (Gage), and Jonah. One of their greatest joys today are their three precious grandchildren, Joseph, Madeline, and Mackenzie.
