This is a week dedicated to living out our mission: Love Like Jesus. This year’s Serve Sanford week is April 19th-25th. We have several projects planned and invite you to sign up to participate in serving our community. If you don’t see a project that interests you, or you have an idea for a project, click the button at the bottom of this list and make a recommendation.

Description: As we step into Love Week, we have a special opportunity to serve those who serve us every day. This year, our project is to gather care‑package boxes for deployed soldiers—simple shoebox‑sized gifts that remind them they are seen, appreciated, and prayed for.
If your family would like to participate, please fill a shoebox with small, non-perishable items. From past deployment experience, some of the most appreciated items include:

Description: Join us as we serve and give back to the widows of Grace Chapel by helping with yard projects that will be a true blessing. Let’s come together to show love, lend a hand, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

Description: We need 6–8 volunteers to help plate and serve food in a welcoming environment. The Sanford Outreach Mission faithfully serves those in need by providing food, clothing, showers, shelter, and support.

Description: Join the ABRMG as they serve at the CUOC of Lee County—a vital ministry offering a food pantry and thrift store for Lee County residents. CUOC also supports children through the Backpack Buddies program, helping provide meals for kids in need over the weekend.

Description: Located at Scrubbin’ Board III in Tramway. This is a time for us to speak with people as we assist them with loading and folding their laundry at the laundromat. We will have resources available to provide detergent and pay for machine use.

Description: Located at the Tramway Circle K. This is an opportunity to meet people, invite them to church, pray for them, and give them a gas gift card.

Description: The choir will go out to visit the widows in our community and share the gift of worship through song. This is a beautiful opportunity to bring encouragement, joy, and the presence of God into their homes.

Description: Visit a nursing home in Pinehurst and bring them homemade treats! This team will serve on Tuesday and Thursday nights with the Mejans. Information to contact the Mejans will be sent after registration. Those serving must coordinate through the Mejans. Please DO NOT show up at the venue before coordinating with project leaders.

Description: Join the Clay Vessels for a meaningful morning of ministry at Westfield Nursing Home! Dr. Baker will share an encouraging message as we spend time in fellowship, bring joy, and connect with the residents. We’ll also enjoy playing bingo together and sharing smiles, laughter, and the love of Christ.

Description: Join us at Northview Optimist Park as we share the love of Jesus with our community! We’ll be passing out hot dogs at the ballpark, serving families, and creating a welcoming, joyful environment for everyone who stops by.

Description: Join us for building improvements as we work together to care for and enhance their space! Tasks will include spackling and repairing nail holes, completing paint touch-ups in the education room, installing chair rail in the small dining nook, and adding potted plants to enhance the gravel area at the front of the building.

Description: Join us at the Jeremiah House as we come together to serve through yard beautification projects! This is an opportunity to create a clean, welcoming, and safe space where single mothers can grow, be equipped, and find hope in a time of need.
